Italian Shoe Factory, a leading manufacturer of luxury footwear and leather goods, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Shoe Repair Technician for our operations in Dubai. Responsibilities:
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair a variety of luxury shoes, working on individual pairs from start to finish.
- Replace and repair shoe components including soles, heels, insoles, and uppers while maintaining the brand’s high standards.
- Conduct meticulous color mixing and patina techniques to match and restore the original color and finish of the items.
- Work with leather crafting tools and machinery, including sewing machines and shoe stretchers.
- Restore shoes to their original condition by cleaning, conditioning, recoloring, and polishing.
- Source and select suitable types and grades of leather and fabric for repairs.
- Collaborate with the team while working with minimal supervision, maintaining an atmosphere of resourcefulness and commitment to achieving the best possible results.
Requirements:
- Passion for footwear repairs and a shared vision with the Italian Shoe Factory.
- At least 2 year of relevant experience — as a shoe repair technician, cobbler, or in a related field.
- Familiarity with different types of footwear and their construction.
- Experience working on premium fashion goods with a keen eye for detail.
- Proficient in color mixing and patina techniques.
- Ability to work with varying degrees of speed and attention to detail, depending on the type of repair being performed.
- Experience with mixing dyes and paints to match colors is an asset.
- Willingness to supervise and teach junior staff, offering excellent customer service whenever necessary.
- Ability to source products from suppliers and manage inventory.
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certification is a plus.
